Flims - ledovec Vorab , the Glarner Alps, Switzerland Alpenarena Flims Laax Falera lies on the sunny side of the mountains, protected against the wind, in the Swiss area Graubünden. Surprisingly, it is only 660 km far from Prague. This Alpenarena is one of the largest ski circuits in the Alps. The Vorab Glacier (3,018 m) increases its attractiveness with a famous panoramic restaurant on its top that offers views over the magnificent panoramas of the Swiss Alps. The Glacier guarantees quality autumn and spring skiing due to its permanent snow cover. Unfortunately, it is not open all year round but the season lasts only from October to May. During the glacial season however there are terrains suitable for snowboarding including a 140 m long monsterpipe and other neat stuff. A freeride zone is on the top of the glacier. After all, the resort is well-known for its freeride slopes all over the Europe.
