Alpenarena is relatively new and modern Alp ski resort, especially appealing to young people. You can ski here on the south facing slopes from 1,100 m up to 3,018 m of altitude and the Glacier of Vorab is a snow cover quarantee.
Apart from carving or snowboarding, you can try here telemark skiing or snowboard rails or a halfpipe. The resort has become particularly famous for its wide offer of freeride activities – 40 km of not groomed yellow-marked runs (Segnes, Platt´Alva and Scansinas for example) as well as unmarked trails. These activities are exclusively offered to none but the best skiers on condition that they will pay attention to degrees of avalanche danger. Skicross FIS World Cup and
Snowboard FIS World Cup are the most important. Even fans of down-hill skiing will not be deprived of anything here – they can enjoy a 14 km long trail down from the Glacier to Flims with a descent of 1,900 m where you go through everything – freeride in snow powder or well-groomed runs for carving or skiing in heavier wet snow in lower stretches of the trail.
