The freeride downhill ride from La Lauziére to the Madeleine station is for especially expert skiers and snowboarders. Snowboard lovers have an averagely equipped snowpark and boardercross at their disposal. The spot elevation 2,305 of the top lift station offers magnificent views of the surrounding Savoy Alps. Cross-country skiers and hikers can use the various trails around Cheval Noir that run at one altitude all of their lengths. Aprés-ski activities include festivals of winter sports that usually start in the morning with a ski show and end late at night with fireworks and downhill rides with torches. Your winter holiday here should not be deprived of culinary experiences – many restaurants offer excellent cuisine and you should not miss out the local speciality, the Beaufort cheese.
