Nauders (1400m - 2850m)

Nauders , the Ötztal Alps, Austria A ski triangle Reschenpass is situated at the boundary of Austria, Italy and Switzeland. It encompasses three ski resorts – Austrian Nauders and Italian St. Valentin and Schöneben. Its altitude between 1,400 to 2,859 m and an elaborate system of snow cannons virtually guarantee the snow cover until late spring. Out of 111 in total, 90 km are artificially snow-covered and thus spring skiing is an ultimate experience here. Local runs will satisfy both beginners and those who prefer more challenging and faster slopes. An artificially created bumpy slope is a real challenge for advanced skiers who can also experience the ultimate freedom of deep snow freeriding. The best runs for carvers are in the Italian Schöneben with exquisite runs leading to Rojen. The Bergkastel station (2,200 m) is the heart of this resort and also a meeting point for all skiers. On a clear day, you can enjoy a spectacular view over the surrounding hills from the newly reconstructed panoramic restaurant. A new children world, “Kinderland-Nauderixland”, has been opened here together with several children restaurants. From an altitude of 2,750 m you can ski to the Valley on a 9 km long slope with a descent of 1,300 m, which is one of the local highlights. Even snowboarders will find many things to stimulate their adrenalin – areas for deep snow riding, wide runs ideal for carving and jumping. By the Bergkastel station, there is a halfpipe with parameters that meet the standards of snowboard competitions, together with a boardercross run and a Fun Park situated in Haider Alm.
